老師給家長的一封信 - a letter to the parents (from Stephany)

E-mail: cuteporkie@gmail.com
Dear Parents:
As we begin another new school year, I hope you and the children have had a wonderful summer! I would like to begin the year by congratulating you, and thanking you for continuing to entrust your children with us at the School of Tzu-Chi Toronto Humanistic Academy. My name is Stephany, and I am the teacher of your children’s class. Like you, I also strive for a balance between the academic freedom and openness of Western education with the teachings of Chinese culture and tradition. It is the humanistic approach that we teach our children to embrace a healthy, positive and optimistic outlook in everyday living as well as in academia. With an aim to improve your children’s learning experience, I’d like to suggest the following: [if !supportLists]• [endif]Avoid absences With classes only on Sundays our schedule is already very tight, so missing a class may impose a lot of pressure and stress for the child to catch up. Unless absolutely unavoidable, please do not let your children miss classes. [if !supportLists]• [endif]Encourage your children Learning a second language is never easy and your children will benefit greatly from your encouragement and support. [if !supportLists]• [endif]Stay in touch Please actively monitor your children’s progress and stay in touch with me. I will be happy to discuss your children’s performance with you after class or on the telephone. Let your children know that you care! I am certain that with your loving care and assistance, we will be able to create an environment conducive for your children’s Chinese education. Best Wishes and Kind Regards, Stephany Liu – Teacher, Bilingual Class
